The Ultimate Twin Registry Guide
Having twins? There are so many lists of what to get – do you really need 2 of everything? We purchased & returned SO many items, not sure of what we needed – here is my tried & true list:
- 1 pack & play with bassinet attachement – no need for the twin one, it only holds up to 2 more lbs than the original
- 2 Graco snug ride car seats – 4 bases for each car
- 1 double babytrend snap & go stroller
- CitiMini double stroller by Baby Jogger
- MP3 console (so much better than the other attachment)
- 2 Diono Convertible Car Seats – did tons of research, these are top rated and super narrow so easily don’t take up entire 2nd row in car – LOVE them
- (3) 4 packs Adain & Anais muslin blankets – these are the ONLY blankets that you need. They are thin, breathable, easy to swaddle, great for anything including playtime!
- 1 exersaucer & 1 jumperoo (if you can borrow a 2nd exersaucer from a friend, that would be helpful as that activity starts sooner than the jumperoo)
- Video Monitor (2 cameras)
- Babies R Us brand multi-colored washcloths – they are the BEST!
- If you have multiple floors: 2 swings & 2 bouncy seats. If only 1 floor, 1 of each is fine. I would go with the space saver swing, its less cumbersome & I found the seat lasted longer for the bigger kids as they are not as contoured
- 2 baby bjorns – Rob & I wore the kids around like crazy when they were babies
- Bundleme – no need for jackets, etc – this clips right onto the car seat & keeps the baby cozy
- Baby Einstein aquarium soother for the cribs – I made the mistake of getting 2 different soothers, these are the best ones & my boys had them on their beds until they were 4!
- 2 cribs (even if you are going to have co-sleeping, get 2 to start)
- Ultimate crib sheets – AMAZING! I have 4. Still used through toddler bed!
- Crib sheet savers – I had 4 of these as well, only good for when babies don’t move as they are similar to a table runner
- Black out shades
- Bathtime: 4 hooded towels, 1 baby bath tub, 1 inflatable bathtub and 1 soft sponge for when they are infants
- Convertible gowns – These can go from onesie to nightgown – I felt silly having my boys in this however so much easier to just lift up for changing and not having to worry about snaps or zippers
- Do not get any clothes with buttons – snaps are fine, zippers are the easiest
- Lots of teeny tiny socks – somehow they get lost all the time
- A hamper with a detachable laundry bag inside – you will be doing laundry every day for a while
- Bottles: I did Born Free – not too many parts, BPA free and do not leak. I had 20 9oz bottles – It looks silly using the big bottles with such tiny babies but its more economical. You will go through 16 bottles a day in the beginning
- 2 dishwasher racks for bottles + drying rack
- Fisher price glow seahorses – 2
- There are Velcro instant swaddles – these are amazing
- JuJuBe Be Prepared Diaper Bag – A necessity for twins
- Wipes Warmer – I was against this and quickly changed my tune
- 2 boppy pillows with protective covers + pretty covers
- Kidco peapod sleeping tents
- Lots of baby gates
- Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Twins
