Once in a Lifetime Kind of People
On my way home from my one of my oldest & dearest friends’ hometown of Saratoga Springs….
Carrie & I met in 1989 at sleep away camp but the clincher for us was staying up all night sharing our deepest secrets for our 11 year old selves. Through years at camp, college, laughter, tears, weddings, kids – Carrie & I have always had a way of reaching pieces of each other that many others couldn’t quite get to.

I desperately needed this long weekend for so many reasons but to be with Carrie & her parents, see our children play reminded me that when you have those “once in a lifetime kind of people” you make it your business to keep them with you for your lifetime.
My brood & I stayed with Carrie’s parents who my kids now lovingly call “Stu & Bob”. I got some major TLC from a woman that I have known for 27 years and my husband was welcomed with open arms into this family that welcomed me so many years ago. I am incredibly lucky.
