How to Plan a Menu in Less Than 5 Minutes!

From Garden to Pasta Salad – Planning a Menu is Easy Peasy!

We are having a last minute BBQ today – of course I don’t have much in the house but I do have some basic staples, some leftovers & my garden!

Step 1:  Assess the situation – what do I have available?

From the garden: 2 heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh mint, 1 pepper, a handful of sunburst tomatoes, fresh parsley & fresh mint.

From the fridge:  Chicken Apple Sausages, 1 leftover ear of corn, half a container of potato salad and kale salad mix, portobella mushrooms, mozzarella cheese

From the pantry:  pasta, tomato sauce, hot dog buns

Step 2:  Come up with a plan – what even goes together?!

Step 3:  Outline the menu – confirm you are good to go and get prepping!

Sausage Sandwiches

Pasta Salad with tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella

Corn Salad with peppers & parsey (evoo and sea salt)

Kale Salad

Portobella Mushroom Cap Pizzas

Step 4:  ENJOY!
